I have included many
sacred pieces on my CD's through the
years, but this will be the first
full CD of sacred music for me since
my first CD for Shanachie
Entertainment in 1991, called Of
Soul and Spirit. I am featured on
six of the tracks, and I
co-produced the CD.
This CD is wonderful. It features
the evocative whistle playing of Bob
Pegritz on every track, and covers
beautiful and soaring music from
Celtic-based hymns, through southern
gospel, to contemporary Christian
(with some serious electric-guitar
sounds and vibe). Three tracks,
moreover, showcase powerful vocals
by some of the best young singers in
this genre to come down the pike.
They blow the roof off, and do it
with the Spirit. I'm honored
to be a part of this project.
